Attention i-Phone, i-Pad and Smart Phone Users
Until this afternoon, Rennlist would automatically detect smart phones and default to the mobile version of the site. An exception was made for the i-Pad, but everything else including Blackberrys went to the bare bones option.
The introduction of the i-Pad brought a rash of complaints because it too was detected as a smart-phone and ended up on the mobile version of the site.
The auto detect feature was turned off this afternoon. This means that your i-Pad will operate normally here.
If you have a small screen device like a Blackberry and prefer to use the stripped down version of Rennlist, do the following:
Access the site via https://rennlist.com/forums
Scroll down to the bottom of the page to where you see the style choices at the bottom left of the page. This is the quick style select box on the far left of the grey bar at the bottom of the page. The default setting is "Rennlist".
Click on the pull down menu and select "mobile".
You will see Rennlist with the streamlined mobile version.
If you decide to experiment and select the mobile version, and then decide you prefer the regular one you'll find that the mobile site does not offer the style choice. Don't panic.
Log out and clear your cookies. Then log back on and you'll see the default Rennlist site, non-mobile version.
Best,

Edge, well for a few Members, soon to be many more, yeah we made a simple change. If you follow the directions in my post, you'll have exactly what you had. It works fine on my Blackberry which after the initial log-in goes to the mobile site as it did before.
What sort of problem are you having?

I have a blackberry Pearl on Verizon and a real Blackberry on Sprint and neither will show the mobile version. I can select the drop down at the bottom of the page, but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Which browser are you using? I use Opera Mini on mine and it works fine. Opera is a free download and far better than the Blackberry browser. Suggest you try it. Mine is Opera Mini 5

P.S. You click on the "mobile" style and still get the regular site?
That is odd. I just tested it on the Blackberry 8830 and the 9700 and both work. On the 9700 I needed to use Opera and the BB browser does some very weird things.
