Sorry for the slowness, we are hoping to add further updates to the site late this week.
Apologizes for the inconvenience.

Are these updates in addtion to the ones done mid-October? I thought the previous ones were going to fix everything?

So did I Matt.
It appears that the site is only as fast as the weakest link in the chain (so to speak). Our updates to the Data Base server in October improved that performance, only to highlight a constraint we have elsewhere in our network.

We also updated our firewalls last night in the wee hours too.

No, the ones in mid-October were actually designed to in fact slow the site down, thereby acclimating the members to a certain level of performance in order to make the site performance look MUCH better after this Friday.

And clearly my office hates it... I was uploading at work today at the equivalent of 2400 baud...

Good luck with your updates, after today's "performance improvement" I'm going to stay away for at least the entire weekend and see if anything's corrected by Monday. It's abysmal tonight, and yes, I chose that my one post had to be this one rather than any other Porsche-related post.

It wasn't just Rennlist, other IB sites experienced the same issues.

Thanks for the response. The plan didn't seem to work, but good try.

So for a company that manages sites much larger than Rennlist, what is the reason that Rennlist is consistently mis-managed? Why are you not able to correctly scale what you do on larger websites to Rennlist?

The past period of slowness affected all of our websites, earlier issues were constrained particularly to Rennlist.

We plan to upgrade the server for Rennlist tomorrow.

Adrian, you guys are nice enough but actual performance is poor compared to when John ran the site. At this point I do not believe a word you say. Prove me wrong please.
