i cant explain in very well Pete.
these hosting web sites are just places for you to load stuff. just like rennlist when you put a picture in a thread. Except these places like tinypic don't have size limits.

...also, Troy & Jack - thank you for your contributions, this will probably start to sink in after about two days, but for now...

I get it! Once I log on to "tiny pic.com" I uploaded my avatar photo (book image), and tiny pic assigned me the series of digits to use between the "imgs" (which before this afternoon I knew nothing about). That is what I was missing, and I guess that "photo bucket" works the same. Yeehaw!
OK, douglas - your turn!

as long as you continue to help w/ 911 stuff, it's all good!
I'm sure we can help you so that in your sig the title of your book actually is a link to somewhere you'd like people to go to order it. Also in your sig you can use the insert link function (the one that looks like the Earth with two chain links below it), then you put in the url you want to link to when someone clicks on the title of your book.
After you put in the url, it'll place text in your sig that looks like:[ URL="http://www.petesbook.com" ]http://www.petesbook.com[ /URL ]
and in the second instance of http://www.petesbook.com, you can change that to whatever text you'd like it to read, like The Used 911 Story.
Then your text will show The Used 911 Story and if someone clicks on it, it goes to www.petesbook.com, or wherever. Does that make sense?
