Rennlist Marketplace sucks…

Listed my 2003 Boxster for sale on 5/3. Got no response, not even a question! Put the car on Facebook marketplace got 8 inquiries and sold it for the asking price in two days! I saw a similar post from a Rennlist member who did the same thing. Seems counterintuitive that members hear aren’t buying the cars listed for sale?

The problem is, much like PCA’s marketplace, people ask almost silly prices so many people like me almost never look anymore.

Hmm, odd. I've been keeping the marketplace open lately and I see view counts skyrocket on posts. Yours looks like it has 322 views, which is rather low. Is the market cold for non-S 986s?

I have sold wheels, brakes and other parts in less than a day. Prices have to be realistic.
Will use it again in a few weeks. Way better than eBay and have met some good people as well.

I've bought and sold several Porsches thru RL marketplace. I've always had a lot of interest in the cars I've listed for sale.
Maybe RL isn't the place for a 20+ year-old Boxster with 80K miles. But you should be happy you sold it in two days for asking.

Second, I have found so many amazing deals on Rennlist marketplace. Not sure about your situation, but at least for parts it's the best place to buy and sell. The main issue is people over value the actual price of their parts.
If things are priced about 5-10% below ebay prices, desirable parts typically sell within a week.
I have never sold a car though.

Market place typically works for me. It most definitively DOES NOT SUCK.
OP, you may have posted something many people were not shopping for or it was priced too high.
I just sold an Audi Avant here in 3 days
