This is a nice app with a lot of potential. Good work

The only issue I have is that I can't see any pictures (except avatars) in forum posts. This is an iPhone 3GS using the very latest iPhone 4 software release.

It does not work as Ipad app. Rennlist is better as safari window that this app. Maybe ok for iPhone but I don't have one.

My biggest iPad issue is that I have hard time hitting "page 2" since the buttons are too small for my finger. Some time I get it right other times I have to zoom in to get to the next page. I was hoping the app would address that.

Feedback for the app...

Good start...

A) Multiple bugs -- the app closes unexpected when I open and click "Forums". Also, multiple HTML markups on threads with pictures... or in my signature, etc...
B) I would like to see the splash screen upon starting the app. Weird, I know. But it's a cool splash intro screen.
C) From what I can tell, there is not "refresh" on any of the forums or thread pages. A simple "Pull Down to Refresh" would be perfect as that is quickly becoming the "standard."
D) I would like the ability to choose what page the app initially loads into -- ie, I don't subscribe to threads so I care less about that screen. I want it to load to Off Topic forum, because that's pretty much what I check on the phone. If I'm doing work on the car and need a technical forum, I'll access from the computer or go there directly on the phone.

And finally...

E) Ads... for the love of everything good and Holy in this world of ours, GET RID OF THE ADS. I get it -- I'm a capitalist -- I don't mind at all IB wanting to make money. But for MEMBERS the app should be FREE with NO ADS. They take up a third of the screen, are ANNOYING, and I never click on them or care what they say. They simply make me NOT want to use the app, period. I do not think I can stress this part enough -- an app with ads is not one I want to use. It really detracts from what I think you guys are going after, which is a great app to compliment Rennlist. And I can simply access the mobile version of the website or go directly to the forums.rennlist.com full html site and only have to deal with the miniature banner ads that I can't read anyway because they are so small. I believe if you do not remove the ads, you will see after the initial launch excitement of the app wears off, less and less users will use the app because of the ads.

Bottom line:

Decent app, a few bugs, a few features to work out. GET RID OF THE ADS PLEASE, charge $0.99 for non-members, and free for members with NO ADS.

Did I mention I find the ads annoying?

annoying that android is currently second fiddle as a development platform although the installed base is now larger than ios cellular devices and is growing at an astronomical rate. at any rate, looking forward to the android version.

Has the app been worked on yet or gotten better? Ads still there? I am still trying to get used to Rennlist Mobile and I don't want to pay for the IB Message Boards app that I get offered every few times I log on. Actually the IB App now shows as Rennlist v.1.1.2, I don't think I ever saw it specifically say that before.

Feedback/tips? Should I make the switch yet or is it still too ad heavy?

I use this app constantly for these forums, and like it on the whole. However:

The ads need to go.

The uploaded pictures don't load, but embedded ones do.

IT REALLY NEEDS A REFRESH FUNCTION.
