Unhappy click on links

I'm new so I probably don't know how to use this feature correctly but how come when I click on links marked in red I get no response? My computer shows recognition down in the corner , of the link, but won't go there. Also when I type these long sets of thread links, also no response? Even if I try to Google it, says no match found. Clue me in please. L.stroup@adelphia.net member #070328-5587 Thanks.

I'm sorry but I have no idea what you are referring to - what links in red?? The only links I see on my PC and Mac are gray hyperlinks and they work. Like this for example.

Right, they are gray and when I move my mouse arrow on to it, it turns red, the link shows up at the lower left-hand corner of my screen, but when I click it, nothing happens. How come? Is there a setting that I need to change? Thanks for your help.
Also, in the smilies section next to the message box there is a parenthesis with more inside and when I click on it , It doesn't show me the other choices.

A couple of questions:
What browser are you using?
Do you have the popup-blocker turned off?
How long does it take you to get from Frederick to Hagerstown going over South Mountain?

ittia, I'm using Internet Explorer and the popup blocker is on. Do you think that's my problem?
I've never made a hard run through there even though my brother lives in Hagerstown. I've been kind of afraid of some Barney Fife deputy a**hole. But I just bought a Blinder laser jammer system and when I get it installed, I might try it.
Where in Germany do you live? I used to have a German girlfriend and went with her to Koln to meet her family. I sold my 1st 911 to finance that fiasco. I should have kept the car and sold the girl. Oh well. Live and learn.
Thanks for the input. I hope I can solve this problem.

Yes, turn the popup-blocker off.

Yes, some Barney Fife deputy a**hole will clock you. Especially around Boonsboro. I am in the Heidelberg region. I actually bought my 951 outside of Koln. Took a train there and had a short layover, nice city. That's a bummer about selling the 911 to finance the trip. Like you said though, live and learn.

ittia, I turned off the popup blocker but no change. I think it has something to do about the IMG code that is down in the Posting Rules box at the bottom left side of the page. I put this question to the administrator of the site but so far no reply.
You should feel right at home in Germany. I was there in winter and it rained all the time like Md, but that's why I have been living in California for the last 14 years. If my brother hadn't gotten sick, I wouldn't be here now. By his passing, I inherited his P-car. There is good and bad in all things.

Did you by chance restart the browser after turning off the popup-blocker? Also, do you have any other software running that may hinder the opening of links?

Sorry to hear about your brother. Have you posted pics here of the car?

I didn't restart the computer; is that necessary? I am just learning about computers and it's a bitch when you're not a kid. No other software running that I know of. If you have any ideas I'm glad to hear them. Still haven't heard back from the site administrator.

Try turning any pop-up blockers off, turn off any spy-ware or spam-ware software (or put Rennlist in the white list), and empty your browser's cache.

When I put my mouse arrow on them they turn red and the link shows up down in the lefthand corner of my screen, but it won't go to the link. It really sucks because I'm missing some great stuff.
Ahh, Mark, you are talking to a rank amateur computer kindergartner. What is the white list and how do I put rennlist on it? Thanks for your patience.
