I, too, have the same question about embedding photos in a post, but can't make any sense of the reply. The FAQ's on the site weren't all that helpful, either. Other than appearing to be completely unresponsive to embedding any photo, some were rejected as being too large a file. How can file size of of a photo or other jpg be reduced? Tried cropping, but it wasn't enough. Totally dumbfounded. "Help for Dummies" needed. Thanks.

MichaelL - you need to re-size the image before you upload, using some image editing software on your computer.
Maybe you have a copy of Adobe Essentials, or Photoshop, or some other software that will allo you to alter image size?
Straight from your camera, the image is just to large to upload and show on the forum.
Take a look at your image software and see if you have an option to set image size in pixels (not inches)
You're looking to set the image size, so the longest side is say 900 pixels long
This will reduce the size enough to upload and display, but leave it large enough to see on the forum.
These images are 900x600 pixels in size:
Then save the newly sized image on your computer as a JPEG file.
JPEG is a compressed image format, that reduces file size for uploading and displaying on the Web.
Upload that image to the forum as per instructions, and the use the [ IMG ] [ /IMG ] tags to make it appear in your post.
Just remember - size in pixels should be no more than 900 pixels on the longest side for this forum - always keep the original file (full size) saved on your computer, in case you want prints etc later.

I have uploaded several pic to the Rennlist Upload site. NOW, where do I go to SEE those images and get the tag to go within the [img] brackets???
