OK he has a Physics Degree, or so he says. I'd say go get a job young man, save some money, or go to a Bank and borrow some, and then go buy yourself a car. I think that is what most of us did. When I finished Engineering at UofA in 1976, I was driving a 67 VW Bug, it lasted me another 3 years. I did have to put some dirty hands time into it to keep it on the road. By then I had a stable job and I was able to finance my first new car. I agree this dude needs a little serious Life 101 time.

Do you guys remember the guy who owned the 928. He was looking for donations to go visit his sick father but couldn't afford it.
I seemed to get a lot of hate mail at the time for suggesting he sell the 928 and it could more than pay for the trip.
It's not just millennials asking for hand outs.

Asking for donations to see an ailing parent is a lot different than asking for someone to sell their car for less than what is worth just because you want one and can't afford it. Besides, how did he afford to "do a high performance sport for 13 years many of which were at the national level" and pay for an undergraduate degree in Physics?

Maybe his first Porsche should be a Hot Wheel.

But hey, if your cool with that, I'll give you $5k for your Targa and toss in the Flat Six model engine.

I'm not sure why you reported the add. I don't Agree with what he did but he technically did nothing wrong beyond moral judgement.

Because he feels taking advantage of others generosity is par for the course. You can hardly compare DT to this little entitled ***** as you can do something about it by reporting his behaviour (clearly Kijiji tolerates it) whereas it's a little harder to affect change with DT.

It's like the guy who caught some middle aged woman begging for money at a traffic light, followed her and recorded her hopping into her new Mini Cooper S. If people don't remind dip****s that they are morally wrong then what's the point?

I sent the kid a nice email too... sometimes people need reminded...

If this kid is real, this will be a good lesson for him... nobody is going to just GIVE you a deal. Let the ad run it's course so he learns. Everybody is whining like crotchety old men that he doesn't know this or understand that... give him a chance to learn. Don't blame him for his overprotective super nurturing parents. Being a gentlemen and responding with advice would be the proper thing to do. Any jerk can point out the flaws and errors with his ask...

Also, if anyone is giving away deals, I will take one also... =)

I'll ask him if he want to buy my 993 for $95,000. Not unreasonable if you use Pfaff prices as a benchmark.

Every bit helps .......
