Just because it does it doesn't mean it's normal. If a car sits for only a few days, shouldn't be making any unusual noise.

Yes, it did tap before the oil change. I start noticing it when it had 500 km on it. I kept it under 4000 RPM until 1500 km. First time I reported and dealer checked it was at around 1100 km.

When you say it's normal, do you know if other 991.2 tapping besides yours? I'd be very surprised if many new 991 or 991.2 owners accept this as being normal. Yes, if my car is few years old have have some miles on it or sitting for few months then ok.
When I did search on this forum under tapping noise, all were from older model 993,996.997 or cayman /boxters. Didn't see any 991 or 991.2 complaint relating to lifter tapping sound. Am I the only sensitive one among all 991 owners on this forum? I don't think this is normal!

If it's not normal on a brand new $9K Kia then it's not normal on a new Porsche either.

This is not the forum to search on for technical issues as its not a technical forum , this is a regional forum for regional events and the odd ball busting.

You should also be on the technical forum for your particular model . There will be a lot of info there I am sure , as in what type of latte to drink while the mechanic is fixing your car : )

true, any noise is bad. The 991 GT3 sounds very mechanical though but not like his video.

The black exhaust tip and CEL coming on doesn't look that promising though.

Your getting advice on here from people that have no clue what a new 911 should sound like. Go to the 991 section everyone can share what their cars sound like compared to yours.

The hydraulic drive belt tensioner may need to be checked.

Both my 991.2 TTS and my 981 BoxS had just sat for about three weeks. Started them both today, no tappet noise what so ever. It was inside starts with the tops and windows down, so I could hear the engine noise well. Even with the muffled exhaust sounds of the new 991.2s all I basically heard was exhaust sounds. We have 9 cars for 2 of us, so some can sit for a long while, all are stored indoors in a dry climate. I can not recall the last time I heard tappet noises on start-up on any of them. That engine fault light would worry me, maybe more than the tappet noise. Good Luck, let us know what happens.
