Actually they're asking $28K, not 23. But otherwise I agree with you.

Then again, if they can get $50K for a NA 996 maybe we're all fools and they know something we don't.

Unless the cars are on consignment with massive flexibility on price.. There was a dealer locally asking 45k for a 2008 335i with some mods. Ended up selling for 17k.

Another lulz

Maybe there are people with a real hard on for a near-as-new 2002 S430? Segal always seems to have insane pricing...

I would drive such an S430 no doubt but not at that price. If someone called me wanting to sell the car I would offer 6k-7k tops. A W220 isn't a rare car and a basic S430 isn't a collectible car. As I said either those cars are on consignment or were pulled out of the retirement home because the previous owner passed away. Low mileage cars like that always worry me...

S600, S55 and S65 maybe could have a niche collector market.

Checked and Jason did sell the Challenger to Segal.
Wonder what it'll fetch at auction?

I'm going to Barrett-Jackson in January so maybe I can see what they get for it.

Default What a CAR!!!!!

Just got back from my trip to see this one in person! Also found the car in the Autostrada, gotta love Lucas! He finds some great cars!

Was pondering a trip to Bonhams Scottsdale to bid on this car but had to come and see it first, pictures didn't tell the whole story.

Needless to say lets start off by saying I booked my flight and ticket to the auction, this car has me hooked! Started off with a short walk though the showroom between a Lambo, couple GTO's heading to Barretts and some newer Porsche 911s.

Approaching the car I first noticed the beautiful flat grey paint and polished chrome, a very nice first impression. Next came the first view of the red interior, I couldn't believe how nicely the two colors paired. nothing like my black and white 356. Serious POP!

While checking over the car and each small detail, Jeff the owner presented me with a binder thicker than a dictionary with parts receipts, service invoices, and Lucas's photoshoot of the car for his magazine. There was also a hardcover book featuring the photoshoot which Jeff said will be sold with the car. (cool item)

Without being able to drive the car due to weather in Toronto this car still left me speechless, beautiful 356 I would like to add to my collection! Without a reserve ill take a shot!

If anyone has any more info on that previous owner if you think its the same car I would appreciate a contact! Looking for all the info I can get!

Well said Imo000,
he joined rennlist to promote Segal's cars, as if a Canadian would follow a car down there, buy it in US dollars and reimport it back to Canada. But he already has a 356....but he has never seen one with red interior and it blew his mind
good luck with the sale.

For fun, ran it through VMR Canada used car value calculator.

Came up with a value of $4k wholesale, $5600 retail. I have no idea who actually buys cars from these guys, at the insane prices they are always asking.

Don't we all wish we could buy cars at book rates....lol. Unfortunately, supply and demand/personal desires will always dictate the selling price of any one car.

So they base their businesses on "There is a sucker born every minute?"?

Seems to be the moto as they have been around for quite the number of years and have the clientele that would pay a premium for a rare and low mileage car. However, I have noticed the Mercedes S, CLK and Ml series have been sitting around for a number of years. How do I know, cause I really want one of their mint CLK 430 that I use to own
