I was a little worried I might be charged with not driving defensively as I was actually accelerating so I looked straight forward and would have claimed I was just driving along in my lane and didn't see him.

Kinda wondering what model you think it was? I have been on verbal BMW bashing spree lately. Looking for some ammunition.

Those black circles are actually the sidewalls of transport truck tires (heavy stuff). They stack 3-4 of of them and wire them together as a base for the plastic barrels.

I say well done Clive. He/she may think twice about trying that again, so you've actually provided a public service

You were driving defensively as you were trying to make room for him behind you
