I remember talking to him about the Air Cooled craze, he wasn't a fan and had no plans to go down that road anytime soon. Crazy selling price but that is one rare bird.

You can get an OK lot for $2.5MM in Vancouver. A nice new home in a nice area is about $4M.
Now as silly as that sounds the price paid for that car seems sillier to me. CAD$3.16MM!!! To each his own.

Nice car, but wow people are stupid... We are entitled to our opinions, and for this kind of money, I would find a crappy 993(ish) shell and build something that performs even better with modern additions. I know, then it would not have the "feeling" and "soul" of an original... but it would be better in ALL aspects except that it doesn't please the yellow toe fungus Tilly hat wearing psuedo-yuppie Porsche fan.
