Porsche Auto Body Shop Recommendation
Can anyone suggest a good Auto Body shop to re-paint a 911?
So far I know of Dealers Choice and Pfaff Autowerks...any others to consider?
Thanks.

I've been to Dealer's Choice and while they do great work, they are really expensive. The last two times I have had to get some paint work done, I have gone to Dupont Auto Collision. Excellent work and fair prices. All high end cars there, i.e., Porsche, Bentley, Lambo, etc. etc.

I had all kinds of work done at Leons Auto Body on Vanley Cres near Allen and 401. Including the 912 restoration. I believe they are very reasonably priced.

Just had my daughter in law's Mini repaired at DuPont Auto. Job was completed on time, price was more than competitive and workmanship was top quality. I did get two other quotes BTW.
They even did a courtesy complete interior clean as it was a mess. Saw a Cayman being repaired when I went in for the estimate.

They had just moved in to the new shop at the time, the downdraft mechanism in the paint booth wasn't working well, so my 3 weeks old car in there for minor lower rocker panel repair ended up with a fine mist of same color overspray over the horizontal surfaces of the car, including front/rear windshield, roof, and hood.
The bodyshop manager owned up to the problem right away over the phone, apologized and explained why, he asked me to bring the car in and they will polish the overspray out at no cost.
By the time I got there next day with the car, the owner took over the conversation, refused to polish the car and started yelling at me when I challenged him how my 3 week old car suddenly got this overspray right after they did the repair work which included paining? He actually accused me of waxing the car too much......., I looked over to the body shop manager standing nearby, he couldn't even look at me as he knew they were at fault but the guy who signs his pay cheque is doing the talking.

I would recommend Luxury Auto Body (LAB)
Top notch work and most importantly, the owner Richard values the relationship.
I've done countless cars from LAB and every time they delivered the results i was expecting.

Just out of curiosity, what's a "reasonable" price to repaint a 911, assuming no bodywork needed and masking is done. I'm considering DIYing a paint job on the 72 (because why not) but also considering having it done by a pro. I'll do prep work myself and would prefer not to remove glass and interior.

+1 I was extremely happy with his work on the 993 and his obsessive attention to detail.
