6th Gear is fast.

I'm going to suggest Apex or a dealer day to start off with.

But WTF if you're up for it I'll instruct you if my schedule allows.

+1 all good groups. Porsche club is definitely the most conservative but also the most safety and process orientined group. Great for starting out. You can also consider trillium BMW. Porsches welcome there.

Thank a million guys ! greatly appreciate the response. Im not new to Racing, just new to technical road courses. I have drag raced most of my life but that only requires you to keep straight with your foot to the floor lol
Ive joined up with the Upper Canada region of PCA but ive missed a lot of potential meets due to my work schedule in Africa ( month there, month home)

Im not afraid to go fast, but im still learning the limitations of my 997tt, which im sure can out drive me on a course haha.

ill check out the 6th Gear and Apex, but in saying that Sir5n if your up for it when your schedule and mine cross ill take you up on that for sure even if its the basics and pointers.

I just enjoy driving a lot and I cant really stretch my legs on the twisty back roads without being an ******* or endangering others and im not about that at all.

Cheers fellas ! look forward to seeing you and meeting you at the tracks !

You get some seat time in that thing and get it ripping around Mosport and you won't be able to wait until the NEXT track day--ask me how I know (July 28/Aug 3--come on!)

May as well open a new line of credit now (and hide it from your SO).

I'll be looking for you on the back straight with my arm pointing over the roof

PCA has more incidents than any other track days. Anyone who says they are safer is full of sheet

If so, part of the reason must be the car counts at some of the events.....one region is at the Glen this weekend and last I looked there were over 70 cars in Black group alone

Nah it's mostly because the average PCA member is overconfident and highly under skilled and the whole PCA formula is set up to play right into this type of person.

Only overconfident since 996 series cars. Properly scared before that.

Thankfully my car doesn't have all the nannies the later cars have; don't need anything to make me slower!

EA day Thursday--can't wait.......then 6th Gear.

Altesporsche,
before going out on track in that turbo make sure you either change out the coolant for water wetter or weld or pin the coolant lines as they are prone to unglue and drop coolant on track...can cause slippage into stationary object

Isn't that part of the Tech Inspection?
