How long can you store oil?

Motor oil doesn't really have a best before date. You run a bigger risk of it being out of Spec ie GF5 to GF6 transition based on excessive time in storage than you do the product going bad. Once you are ready to use a bottle that has been "in storage" for a while just give it a good shake before use.

Thanks for the info Mark, I have 7 quart bottles of Mobile1 15W50 in the garage from 2006 I was wondering if they was still good.

Anyone interested in buying them?
