Default Wheel refinishing

Any reccos for wheel powder-coating in the west end GTA? I searched previous threads; info seems old and I'm not interested in dealing with Carcones...

I want to refinish my Turbo Twists to OE Silver colour.

Mr. john autobody painted my Lamborghini wheels and did an amazing job. I don't like powder coat it is too thick .

Be careful with powder coating wheels especially if they are track wheels. It has the ability to hide fine cracks and making defects difficult to detect until it is too late.

Agreed, -1 for Carcones. They messed up my ferrari wheels TWICE, before I took them elsewhere.

I have a buddy who just went through a really bad experience with them.

I highly recommend Wheeltek. They are busy, like any quality shop, but are known for their excellent work. And Steve is a great guy to work with.

This is a set of wheels that I recently had the lips polished by them...

Not in Canada but wouldn't be the first time we've had Canada ship in wheels... Just figured we would show up and throw out a few photos why..

Definitely don't use these guys, they did my turbo twists last year and did not cure/bake them properly, total mess.

LOL...sure, I'll pay the equal cost of refinishing my wheels in shipping, currency exchange, duties and fees....Nice work tho!

Thanks for the suggestions, going to give wheeltek a call tomorrow.

i would go with wheeltek, when talking to people recently re wheel refinishing ... i've had multiple guys now tell me they have first have gone to one of the aforementioned shops in this thread (carcones, precision)... and then end up having to pay to get them redone at wheeltek.... a lot of these shops 1 year workmanship 'guarantee' goes right out out the window once they get your money... and pretty much won't want to fix a damn thing after.

i've also heard from a few different car guys that steve@wheeltek is also a great guy to deal with.... like REALLY like and heavily vouch for steve.

imo that says something having seen how many of small 'businesses' really work.

A few years back we had a customer schedule a time with us to have his calipers and wheels refinished, he drove down from CANADA and enjoyed the Long Beach Grand Prix for the week.... Just saying...

Haven't done anything with Wheel Wizards in Hamilton in a long time(10 years) but back then they did a decent job. At the time they prepped the wheels and then sent them out to be coated by one of their finishers. As long as they vouch for the work and stand behind their product I don't see a problem with it.

Going with your recommendation. They're busy right now, so this will take some time! But I'm excited, nothing better than a set of crispy Turbo Twists on a 993.
