Time for a new home

Big boys dont cry, Clive. get a hold of yourself.
Yep, though criticized for it's scenery, it provided an opportunity to meet like minded people. Chapters was THE place everyone, not just enthusiasts on this forum, everyone in that vast surrounding area knew Porsches get together every Saturday morning.
That being said, every time I relocated one of my stores to a bigger better location, business always went up. People's interest gets stimulated by the unknown. I suspect a huge rise in attendance at the new venue at beginning of the season.

Cool pictures Clive. End of an era for sure. I remember when that place opened we'd stop in every Saturday morning after the kids' ski lessons at Centenial Park for hot chocolate and books. That was long before our GTGs.

They had an amazing chapters at bloor and runnymede that I regularly visited - its was an old 1920's theater.
Chapters constructed a masterpiece. It was so beautiful when it first opened.
When it opened, it had 2 Starbucks and with time, they both disappeared.
Also, they started to retail different products; initially it was all books and then it was candles, towels, picture frames, vases, etc....
I could never figure out how they could stay in business as long as they did!
The heating and air conditioning costs, labour, rents, mtce and upkeep, etc... How many books, do you have to sell to stay open?
Similar to your thoughts; I was very sad to see the chapters go.
