Default Quebec short trip itinerary

Dear friends,

I'm thinking of making a trip to Quebec for memorial day weekend, and I'm looking for tips on where to go, which roads to take, what to see etc.

I'd be travelling alone, leaving friday pm, heading back monday pm. All suggestions much appreciated!

be sure to visit Wanda's
also be careful where you park as Montreal is the leading auto theft city in NA.
Great place to visit, are you going to Montreal or Quebec city?
if you search back a week or so another guy was asking the same question and the Montreal guys gave him lots of suggestions. You will have fun!

Thanks, will look for the other thread.

Was thinking more of the countryside, I don't particularly enjoy driving through urban centres.

I agree with ^^^^

Just north of Montreal will have nice roads. You could even head up to Tremblant using the back roads. Lots of nicely paved twisties in the area, and up near Tremblant they use round abouts rather than stop signs!

I haven't checked, but there's likely to be an event at Tremblant's race track that weekend, so you could check that out.

IIRC Memorial Day is always the last Monday in May, I vote Tremblant area or Eastern Townships if you enjoy the countryside and driving. We are planning a road trip to Charlevoix this August, cant wait.

Charlevoix is the place to be .. simply outstanding... the sound of an air cooled flat six echoing across the countryside gives me goose bumps..

Unfortunately Iceman due to the extra room needed in order to have the 4 year old in tow it will be the sound of the Cayenne GTS exhaust in Sport mode echoing across the countryside.

Correct last monday in may. Good that you don't have it, makes for less traffic! I'll check out charlevoix.

Is end of may going to be too early in the season (still cold / rainy)?
