Fire her to elect who? Andrea Horwath? Yeah right. Who's even leading the Ont. PC party these days? Truly a case of the devil you know.

I'll take her any day over the alternatives. Call it the lesser of evils.

I say we just get Mike Harris Back to stop the bleeding . There is no doubt in my mind Wynne and the Ontario Liberals are hemorrhaging Money in Scandal after Scandal. The gas Plant move, ( that no one went to prison for by the way ) . The clean Energy Bill that has caused taxpayers billions and actually has caused us to give away energy to the US ( you cant turn off a reactor by the way ). But don't you worry .. there will soon be HOT lanes to pay for some of this.

Im sorry but the devil you know is just not acceptable solution. That was tried with Harper.

ok rant over .. carry on ...

You're right Iceman, with all those scandals the Liberals shouldn't have been able to win a majority! And yet the other parties can't come up with a decent alternative. It was the PC's election to lose and Hudac did that for them!

^ 100% agreed. The current Minister of Transportation in Ont and I went to high school together, same graduating class. You ain't seen nothing yet, hot lanes and a revamp of the used vehicle certification is just the start....

The devil we know is truly the devil. We've taken it up the **** time and time again, and the fat lady hasn't sung yet. This province will be in really rough shape by the time she is done. We need to get rid of her pronto.

This. Hudak is quite possibly the worst politician I've ever come across. It was absolutely the PC's election to lose and they did it in grand style. They need a proper leader, one who's smart, with genuine ideas, and a real platform to run on. And no, not the Harris-style machete - any ape can do that, and that didn't do us any good the first time around.

The problem with this is the same as it always has been. Really smart, dynamic people rarely are stupid enough to go into politics. Instead we get morons like Chretien, Wynne, Ford, Trump, Cruz, Carson, etc. who, in some cases, may be objectively intelligent (i.e., Carson), but are otherwise whack jobs in their beliefs. Or you get someone like Bob Rae who was very smart and would have been a great politician, if he were only a conservative

Election reform, plain and simple. We need to make it something that attracts the people that should be running our country. No corporate contributions, ditch first past the post, entice voters with something like a tax break for voting, avoid the "either with us or against us" mentality of the US two-party system which has all but destroyed the political arena in the US. Ensure the left and right listen to each other, actively engage each other, respect each other and make meaningful contributions to each other. Raise the salary, ditch the pension, make it a 10 or 15 year maximum career in politics to get rid of the career politicians. Clean up politics and you'll see engagement among the population like never before - people will care. That benefits everyone.
