Default Anyone shopping for a 918 Spyder?

Interesting to finally see a 918 come up for sale on Autotrader Canada.

One can only wonder if the price is in CDN or USD

My friend's father-in-law bought a 918 and sold it within a couple of months of delivery, made a nice profit, and picked up an RS. *****.

Smart guy. Its definitely a quick and easy way to make some money if you had the spare change to buy one initially.

Too bad he didn't wait a little longer... Getting booted from the VIP program for breaching the hold period will be a tough pill to swallow when the 911R and 960 allocations are handed out.

Damn that's a lot of money for a non-Weissach car! Ask on their site is US$1.55MM... For a a car that appears to have a pretty basic spec / really low MSRP, that's probably ~$700k over list!

I stand by my opinion that a buyer in Canada would be wise to pay a discount for a Canadian car relative to the US market, to account for a lack of future liquidity.

Does anyone know if these used 918 spiders can be repainted to a different color? Does the factory no longer work on them because the production ceased?

Does your friend's father-in-law have another daughter, preferably unmarried. I have a lonely buddy who likes 918's.
