I also have a 1986 R80 G/S Paris Dakar, but I bought that one used. It will get a complete restoration to the condition of my R100 GS.

I just got a nice Skat Blast 960 Pro Media Blast Cabinet, so surface finishing will be a breeze now.

It's a '97 4TW2. It has later style bodywork on it.

Fond memories of track days at mosport, blowing by them on the back straight only to be passed in a corner! Can they handle!
Thanks, I hope I can ride it like that!

Wow that's pretty cool. Did you notice much difference between the two bikes?

And despite the condition of a "Garage Queen", my GS has been on quite a few week-plus long tours. Still MINT 25 years later. Specialty cleaners help.

Wow, that bike looks like brand new!

That pic was taken when it was 23 years old. The headers were just re-installed after buffing them and installing new header gaskets at the collector. Plus the threads on the exhaust stubs of the heads and collar nuts were cleaned and a fresh coat of anti-seize was applied.

My daily driver cars look like that after 15 years. Pride and passion.

I do and used to run TZ250s around some tracks near here. I'm a 2-stroke addict. Even had a TZ500 for a year. An armada of RDs,RZ 350/500s, and a TZR250 for the street. Now I only ride in the dirt; MX and trails (Getting old..)

That was when I got into my second life in motorcycling. In fact I almost went for a GSXR 1100 at the time, but I chose light and nimble instead. On the track a good Gamma rider could easily keep up to or beat a GSXR 750.

My Gamma went to a buyer in Florida which paid for my 1990 BMW R100 GS that I bought new in 1991, still have and will never sell. Best motorcycle I have ever had and have never looked back. Same for my other BMW GSes.

2001 was faster had bigger bodywork and was all around better. But the 98 was good too.

That is a beauty. And you don't even need to change out the pipes.
