Default Winter storage thread 2015

This was the shortest driving season I've had in my four years of ownership. The extreme snow out here in Halifax kept it off the road til end of April, I finally gave in one sunny afternoon despite the large snow banks and cooler temps.. November is a busy month and I can't justify keeping it on the road. Still managed to get in six months of driving the beautiful back country roads but can't believe it's tucked away for another winter already!!

Oh baby ... I drove my car a total of.... wait for it... 6 times!

1) April - Hershey!
2) May Watkins DE
3) June Mosport DE
4) July Wings / Beer with Rod and the boys
5) August Air cooled cars/coffee at Porsche Oakville --- August DE - I paid and I didn't go... -_-
6) October Mosport DE

Good lord I didn't drive my car in september... it's so sad.

And now I've got another car that's going to take all of my love away from the SC for the winter... lol I should throw a picture up here!

been the longest driving season I've had with my GT2 yet, on the road Mar.30, probably putting it away this Saturday (Nov.7) ...around 14k km this year, only a couple trackdays
Looking forward to giving it some suspension refresh over the winter

With all the road construction resulting in a lot of mud & gravel around home this year, maybe 3k.
Putting it to bed shortly.

One of my best years as far as use. Put on a total of 5,500 kms and managed to get a few road trips in as well. Car was flawless as always. Also got to enjoy the top down experience in Wifey's '05 Boxster S, what what fun car to drive - perfectly balanced and handles like it's on rails.

I probably put on close to 10k km. Round trip to New Orleans and back was over 5, I think. But unfortunately no track this summer

Despite no heat in the car, I'll keep driving till the salt trucks come out, then on dry days through the winter. Last year I went for a drive on boxing day, it was awesome! This year is supposed to be the warmest winter in 2 decades, so I'm hoping for a fair amount of good driving days.

+1 for El Nino and dry winter drives. Not sure I'll even bother with the Stabil this year.

Putting the winter boots on her in a week or two. Dry winter days are when I'll take her out...I'm not afraid of the snow, just too lazy to do a big wash afterwards.

I had a cayman for half of this year and a 911 for the 2nd half. I went through a total of 3.5 tanks of gas. So just about 1k KMs .

Projects and kids are what dictate my mileage. Some years lots, some less. Always sad when you put your steed to sleep for the season. O/P I can understand you putting your car away. Not a lot of salt used out there. More sand and gravel. You almost need stone guard on your windshield...
