I can remember shoveling my basement slopped driveway to tuck my 944 Turbo to bed. On its slick Yokahama 008p's. It was a slippery backwards exercise, with a thin garage door at the end of the slope. I still remember, don't screw it up, don't screw it up, don't screw it up. Car went away wet, and covered in melting snow and a little salt. It lived. But I now try and make it a little early and dry, than wet and soggy.

Got 26 track days in, so I'm pretty happy with that, but still sucks to get to the end of the season....

Stabil and Motomaster are ethonal. Not sure if that's a big deal.

Copied this from a review of Lucas stabilizer.

“Ethanol is probably the biggest worry for fuel,” Irvine says. Classic car owners are especially advised to treat against these issues.

When it comes time to choose a fuel stabilizer off the shelf, don’t be tempted by the cheap stuff, he adds. Fuel stabilizer is a “you get what you pay for” product.

Opened fuel stabilizer has a shelf life. Check your manufacturer's before you dump it in your tank if already opened.

Can't see how it would matter if you put the small reservoir cap back on tightly. The main reservoir cap doesn't even need to be removed.

I found an open bottle of fuel stabilizer in my garage. It was obviously older with its layer of dust. The colour of it was wrong. I disposed of it, with my used oil return.

second tab down on the stabil site FAQ... http://www.goldeagle.com/brands/sta-bil-faqs

Always buy new stabilizer for storing the car.
The older leftover stuff goes into the gas cans for the lawnmower / snowblower etc....
