I don't think I need to replace anything at this point (at least I hope not), just a bit of welding on a couple of splits/small holes.

I just had some work done at Thruway Muffler, 475 King East in Toronto - the place ain't much to look at, but good work, quickly, and very fairly priced.

 

I've used Hot Rod Scott's in the west end a few times with great results each time.

I did try Thruway earlier... no dice. Was told they "don't deal with high-end cars". My explanation that my 951 has a pretty regular exhaust and I'm just looking for a bit of welding rather than an engine rebuild fell on deaf ears!

 

hopefully it is not the exhaust manifold (common issue on 951's), as it is a big job to re and re. good luck!

Thanks everyone for the input. I ended up going to Quick Muffler on Dufferin. $60 later, fixed up, job done.

I was offered a cat replacement, straight-through system with stainless Magnaflow muffler for $800. Came close to pulling the trigger but I had to leave and more research was required anyway.

I tried Tech Tune after reading some very positive things; however when I left them a vm on Wednesday they didn't return it, and when I got a hold of them yesterday I found out they're not open Saturdays.
