I've used several. The one I use the most is Adam's Quick Detailer purchased from Detailers Domain.

Yes. But ask your professional detailer for direction & advice. Some like one over the other, mainly due to a car's color. IIRC, they usually like OptiCoat for lighter colors (white, silver, yellow). FYI.

I use Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer for mine. Beads like crazy, which is great.

love the optimum opti coat. did my car about 2 years ago (black lexus) and still beads water and shows excellent release properties today. I maintain the vehicles paint with optimum no rinse soap:

when I'm done, it's a mirror. looks like I just waxed it.

+1 both on Wes and the Opticoat. Had the P-car and both MBs done. Wes is a great guy, does an excellent job every time and the Opticoat works well (no bird dropping acid burns and considerably fewer fine scratches from a snow brush for example).

Going to drop in for a quote on my 2003 4S. Is there a "better" time of the year to get this done? I'll be taking my car off the road in October so not sure if it's better to get it done after I bring it out next spring or coat it now.

Store your car cleaned and covers. All maintenance up to date. Detailers get very-very busy late summer to early fall, as everyone is getting cleaned-up before winter hibernation. I made my late September appointment in late July, and barely got in with my detailer.

😀I tried that too! But every car is different so cost will vary. I've got a couple light scratches so hopefully they will do that fix before everything else.
