Hello,

A client of mine has been the original owner of a red over black '87 924S 100,000km, automatic. New front clip replaced a few years ago.

I have seen the car only once and it appears very clean - no rust. She says the A/C is not working and a few electricals sunroof and a power window not working.

She has decided to sell the car and would appreciate any feedback on pricing.

Hi, my guess would be 3-4k for a very clean 87 924 with the right buyer. Unfortunately the automatic pretty much makes the car impossible to sell.

Hagerty Price Guide lists '87 924S from US$3400 (Price 4) all the way up to US$16600 (Price 1).

Price 4 cars are DD, visible flaws, imperfect paint, minor dent..."fair" condition.
Price 1 cars are best on the planet condition, concours condition.

That car is a tough sell... the maintenance on the motor is way more than the price of the car.

Best to try to sell it to Chump teams or SP2 racers as a parts car. I know because I am one! I don't need this car, but it would be worth around $3000 for the spare motor and tub. One little tap at the track and I would be happy to purchase this car and use the body parts to make my car whole again... I don't have a place to keep it otherwise I would jump on this...

automatic is the complete downfall here...
if she really needed to move it, I'd be willing to get it out of there for a grand... although probably worth more to someone as a track-shell as stated above.

My friend has asked me to help her sell the car. Her ask is $3,000 as is. She wanted to list it here before listing on AT.

She has no pictures to give me but it is Guards Red over black interior. I have seen the car a few times and it is very clean.
