hi

i have a 991
and got some stone chips on my car that i want to fix,
i got some on the hood and some on the side skirt and panels.. so sad

can you recommend me a good place and if possible how much it would cost for small stone chips?

it appears drcolorchips isn't shipping to canada for some reason... i was about to order one of there kits but for shipping to canada it says "not shipping to canada currently".

I think this is a recent change as in there FAQ it says that they ship to canada via UPS only, but the canada shipping option is listed as 500$ "not shipping to canada currently" kinda weird.

So i guess it currently isn't legal in canada do to something wrong with the label?

 

^ the label issue would be the reason, that agency is not fun to deal with. First hand experience with a product we import from the US and sell up here.

 

Yep, I had to get a friend in the States accept the order and I'll have to go down and get it. I've used this product for a few years now and I haven't found anything to be better. Of course it's never as fantastic as the videos. Both my 911's have a lot of chips...it's a sign of the affection I have for them. I figure it's impossible to actually drive them without incurring this type of "patina". Cheers

 

Just a bit of wisdom on stuff you can only get in the US or get free shipping only in the US ( and you live not so far from the border). Go see this web site KINEK.COM. They receive stuff on your behalf for cheap.

I've had stuff delivered in Champlain NY for years, its 30 min drive from MTL.

Kinek has multiple drop site close to the border with Canada for all the cross border shoppers

 

Would anybody be interested in trying to collectively order some Dr. ColourChip? I tried using some touch up paint today and ended up taking it off when I realized I was only making things look worse... :-(

 

If you end up wanted a quote from a bodyshop, Vaughn Fine Touch does excellent work, specializing in Porsches and other high end vehicles. My GT3 RS front bumper is there right now.

Another options for places that wont ship to Canada is CBI. I have used them in the past for multiple shipments, and never had a problem. They are located in Niagara Falls, USA.

You should look into clear bra options if paint chips bother you.

Put one on now, at least you won't be incurring additional chips moving forward.
