Looking for 996 GT3 in Canada
Sold my 997 3 and have the itch for a 996.
Looking for a car in Canada with no accident history and no weird stories. Higher mileage is just fine as long as you have service records. Track history/mods are great as long as the car hasn't been in the shrubs. I have already looked at the Black GT3 in Vancouver and it has an accident history. Staying out of the US in my search based on the value of the Canadian peso
Thanks.

Best of luck - the 6.GT3 is a true drivers car, one of a kind imo! The time to buy was definitely last year when the dollar was at par... but patience will find you the right car!
I think Francois (ffaust) was selling his... did it go already? His was local...

Yup Geoff, that would be Bruce's old car and it did receive some minor rear damage (~$10,000) from the 2nd owner at Tremblant... can still see the scrape on the passenger tail pipe.
BTW, the owner drove the car from Tremblant to Ottawa after the incident, so it wasn't that serious.
Bit optimistic on the price.. given that, of the 51,700 kms..... "probably" ~49,000 were logged on the track!

Agreed in hindsight last year was great. I was looking casually at the time and a few nice cars popped up. So they are out there. Francois is modding his car for racing. Thanks to all for the advice thus far.

Kristob,
Have you ever driven the 996 GT3? Nothing like a 997.
It's quite a rush. Very, very raw. No nannies and it will do exactly what you tell it to...but without any filter or safety net. Quite a ride.
I often find myself thinking of one as well. As good as the 997 GT3 is the 996 is the real race car for the road.
