Was at my favorite motorcycle store and the 20ish year old woman behind the counter at the cash was talking about the 1969 Porsche 911 her father gave her as her summer vehicle. She was complaining about how hard it is to drive, how she wishes it were an automatic, and so-on and so forth.

Sigh. I wonder if her father would like to adopt a 32 year old man who will appreciate the car

See if she'll sell it. If she talks about it like that it probably doesn't have much value to her.

My son got a rusted out 4 door Honda Civic when he was old enough to get his licence

When I got my license my father's exact words "your decision and your cost but I really don't see the point as you won't be driving my car or your mothers". I got it, paid for it myself and 1 year later bought my own car. I intend to do the exact same thing with my daughter when that time comes, it will probably take her only 6 months to buy her own

You mean she didn't complain about there isn't an USB plug in or Bluetooth for her to play music from her iPhone?

There may still be hope yet.
