Introduction
Hi everyone. I am obviously new to the forum, and I am happy to say a new owner of a 991 C2S! See the pics attached (assuming I did it right).
I have been a lover of cars for many years, but have never owned a Porsche until today. I have been more of a "BMW guy", having owned 4 M3's and an M5 over the years. But on Wednesday my E92 goes to the dealer and I drove home with my first 911. Sweeeeeeeeeet!!!!
I will miss the M, but I think I will adjust well.
:cheers

Thanks Sir5n. What are the better track events to do? I have done quite a few organized by the BMW clubs. Very well run and well organized. I presume Upper Canada PCA run excellent track days?
For everyone else, any suggestions with respect to any mods that I should think about. I have done suspension, exhaust, brakes, etc on past cars with varied success. Any slam-dunk things that i should be doing on the 991?
Thanks in advance.

The 991 is a slam dunk. I would humbly suggest APEX to start with. I know many here will be charging up with pitch forks and torches but…many of the other events don't provide as much track time.
After you do that-we'll talk!

Thanks Sir5n. I have done Apex events before - I agree they are very well run.
By chance are you one of the instructors? I remember a number of them and they were all nice guys.
I also agree with respect to seat-time - the classroom stuff is important, but hearing it for the 20th time gets a bit much!!
Not to be a hater, but there was one organization that wanted $1,695 for a day at Mosport!!!!! Have to pick the right events.

Congratulations, use it in good health!
I've driven @many DE events, the BMW weekends are probably the best value, and are well organized. Plan on attending a few more this year. If you are cleared as a solo driver you are also allowed to drive in the instructor sessions. That means passing is unrestricted as long as you receive the point by, and more track time.
