If you are cleared as a solo driver you are also allowed to drive in the instructor sessions. That means passing is unrestricted as long as you receive the point by, and more track time.

By chance are you one of the instructors? I remember a number of them and they were all nice guys.

I also agree with respect to seat-time - the classroom stuff is important, but hearing it for the 20th time gets a bit much!!

Not to be a hater, but there was one organization that wanted $1,695 for a day at Mosport!!!!! Have to pick the right events.
No but see if you can ride along with this guy.
You'll be in good hands.

Great vid again Eshel.

Welcome aboard!
As far as track time it depends at what level you are at now and what you want out of it.
The UCR events are great because you get to hang with other Porsche owners.

I enjoy the UCR events as a learning driver, if you are more experienced and are ready to just hang it all out there, I would say Apex as well.

Beautiful car. Thanks for sharing

I have been a lover of cars for many years, but have never owned a Porsche until today. I have been more of a "BMW guy", having owned 4 M3's and an M5 over the years. But on Wednesday my E92 goes to the dealer and I drove home with my first 911. Sweeeeeeeeeet!!!!

I will miss the M, but I think I will adjust well.

Congrats on the 991! A few years ago I also went from an E92 M3 to the 991 C2S. With respect to mods, don't bother. I track my 991 all the time, and doesn't need anything (track pads at the most). The 991 has an amazing chassis so you really don't need coilovers, and the brakes are great as is.

Thank you Sir!
That video footage is pretty much right out of the camera, didn't even straighten it.

Shout out to Porsche for building a great sports car, and EU Autowerks for their brilliant track alignment and setup.

Congratulations and welcome!

Which M5 did you own? Was it the E60? I'm smitten by the idea of that V10 in a sedan..... *shiver*... I think it would be a fun dd for awhile.

Congrats, love the Sapphire Blue but I'm biased as I have an SB GTS en route. I looked at pics of your car on the Oakville site many times too.

Make sure you jump over to the 991 forum as well and post your intro thead!
