Gas prices in Brampton
Can someone tell me how gas could cost 10 cents cheaper in Brampton then Mississuaga, Vaughan or Toronto?
I saw gas at 83.9 at a Petro Canada yesterday in Brampton, at more then one station. I drove 15KM into Mississauga at it was at 94.9. How is that much of a price difference possible?

Folks,
Since when do we fill up our Porsches or winter beaters with REGULAR unleaded gas? Have you considered comparing the roller coaster prices of Shell 91, Petro Can 94, etc? You would be bewildered/upset/shocked.....

oil price dropped $2 today, some must be keeping up with the price drops others not so.
btw price fixing is usually when more than one seller colludes and fixes the price high not different prices at different stations which is the free market that I support
Kreeship it sounds like you want price fixing (all stations have the same price, usually higher)
anyway the low cost of driving and gas is great...too bad we can't store the stuff

If your car's engine was made to run on 87 octane, anything higher is a waste of koney. You are making it sounds as if 87 was some dirty gas that only cheapasses use.

I use the app Gasbuddy and look at where I have to drive and how far to save money. Sometimes surprisingly you can find gas at 3 or more cents off with a very short drive. Example: 7-11 very near me is 94.6 but 1.88km away at Can Tire its 91.4
You can select premium gas: Same Can Tire is 110.9 and 2.89km away in another direction is Esso premium is 108.9 (no definition of premium but I suspect they mean a minimum of 91)
I use the app when traveling as well.
I've updated the data right in front of clerks and they see what I've done and a few hours later their price is lower. They use the app now as well.
I find the 7-11 brand to be consistently the highest priced gas - Pioneer consistently the lowest.
Right now lowest price as of 8:30am appears to be 78.9 reg in Brantford with 85.4 the avg across southern Ontario.
Yes - central GTA IS being gouged. They are able to do this because people are not shopping around and the volume of cars is rewarding them lots of $. Despite the idea of volume makes things cheaper - the retailers have flipped this idea on its ear and have found volume isn't rewarding for the consumer.
So buy your gas out of town if you can or at least don't reward the highest price places.
