I drove the 208 (1.6 Diesel) when I was living in Europe and I kinda like it, the engine not so much, but for the market was perfect (if you think gas is expensive in my home country the cheapest gas costs $2.19 per liter) but for a compact car the driving was awesome, the steering wheel is very small, but you can see the dials over the steering wheel like the old grandpa 205.

I bet this GTI is a pocket rocket.

Talking about pocket rockets, I think for is going to sell the new Focus RS for the first time in Canada and USA.

Why does that look like Banff Springs Hotel in the background?

Had a 206 GTI when I lived in France for a couple of years and loved it. You could toss it around like a go-kart all day long, short gearing, great steering feedback, nimble chassis. Wish they would sell these cars here, would definitely put my name on the wait list to get one

Definitely the Banff Springs Hotel but even having grown up skiing in Banff, I don't recognize the mountain range. There was no such thing as a half pipe back then either!

Indeed the wink to Top Gun is brilliant.

The ad brought back memories from the same era: Ari Vatanen in the 205 rally car.
