Don't be surprised if you see used Porsche prices on the rise across the board in Canada. With the Canadian dollar trading so much lower compared to the USD over the last year, I am surprised that many of the values up here have not adjusted yet.
I just purchased an 08 C4s lately, and I found that I paid in Canadian dollars, probably what it would have gone for in US currency, if located in the US. My feeling is that it should have been priced at least 20-25% higher, to be equal to what the guys in the US are paying. But, it wasnt just this particular car, it was most of the local ones.
I was watching Gen1 Dodge Vipers last year, and the prices seemed to quickly adjust when the CAD dollar started to fall. Maybe it is because they are easier to import to the US? Not sure, but if the US dealers start snatching up cars from the Canadian auctions, and US private buyers start looking up here too, then I think you will see the prices rise.
Now, if the Canadian dollar makes a rebound, then that wont happen. But, it doesnt look like that is going to happen anytime soon.
Anyway, that is just a prediction. Will be interesting to see if it comes true. That was a big part of the reason I decided to purchase my 997 now. I dont think they are going to get any cheaper for a long while, and could possibly rise.

Still looking as well... Actually entertaining the idea of a 997 now as it seems 996 are pretty scarce and the price different between a good 996 and 997 are not too far off
