Subscribed, cause I certainly don't want to miss anything about this car.

Looks are of course subjective. Personally, for the the 993 is the best looking 911 of all.

Still, there is always a balance for each of us. I am less concerned about the aesthetics, but looks are as good a reason as any to make your decision. In my case I want to feel how much the state of the art is advancing. There has been endless ink about manual, electric steering,4WS and so on, and for their own very good reasons there are those who want a more traditional Porsche, just as there are aficionados of air-cooled cars.

For me, the balance is to keep one older RS and go for this one and see how it all works out. If I am disappointed, so be it. I have had the occasional car that was not right for me, though my sense , as Laurance mentioned, is that this will be a pretty special car.

Ronan, it will be more than just special. It will be nothing short of outstanding both in looks and performance.

They are special, and the new RS will be even better, faster....
But it won't have a stick. Fortunately analogue still has some appeal, even in the digital age.

There is good news..just about every model of Porsche from the past exists in excellent condition, and those who prefer stick shifts, ( and I have retained a stick myself ) are not likely to suffer from any shortage of truly exciting and fulfilling ownership opportunities.

Ronan, you are always politically correct. Alas, I can't claim the same for myself.

Just love the sound of the new GT3. The race car blipped shifts are blisteringly quick and sound glorious.
