Default Heckova Winter!

Winter tires came off the DD today.
Latest I've ever taken them off and the 3rd week of November is the earliest I've ever put them on!
5 and a half months of cold! Damn!

Be glad we are not in Alberta, I landed at Calgary airport Sunday afternoon to the city covered in snow, and still snowing, nothing accumulated on the road surface but the sight of vast whiteness when we broke through the cloud layer was quite astounding, in an amusing not funny kind of way.

Not one leaf on the trees in Vaughan yet, it's frigging depressing.

Is "Global Warming" an oxymoron? Sure feels like it.

Then you don't get the science. This is indeed a function of climate change. We made the bed, now we gotta sleep in it.

During its existence the earth has suffered climate changes, way before the humans were here.

I get it, Global Warming actually means, the winters will be bitterly cold.... aka The Scientific Paradox.

Exactly, ergo, it's now referred to as climate change instead.

Nomenclature notwithstanding, the science is irrefutable. I no longer think we can fix it, there's way too much money to be made in carbon fuels to get any meaningful change. All we can do is hunker down and adapt as best we can for the crappy future. Problem is, the future's already here.

Fads broken down by decade...........

2010's - Climate Change = taxes
2000's - Global Warming = taxes
1990's - Ozone layer = taxes
1980's - Acid Rain = taxes
1970's - Global Cooling = taxes
1960's - Free Love = babies that buy into the above

In the end, we humans are but fleas on the dog and every once in a while, the dog must shake.
