Got that too. Very exiting! Just what I needed to think about.
I also received an email from Simon/ Sixth Gear a little while ago. I'll be booking as many days as I can with them as well.

Seems pricey compared to other clubs... 500 - 600 depending on level, for 1 day. On the other hand, I've heard nothing but great things about their track days so maybe the price is justified? Any comments on this?
Worth every penny! Sixth Gear is primarily advanced solo lapping with Pro and Amature race teams. Open lapping format and "all you can eat" on and off the track.
Apex is in novice/ intermediate/ and advanced groups.
Both provide much more track time than any club event.
Both are well worth the cost.
A while ago I broke down cost per minute on track. PCA is cheapest, followed by BMW club, then the open lapping groups that charge $500-600/day, but the spread is minimal. Obviously it's up to you to make the most of your money at an open-track day, and you can significantly decrease your cost per minute if you drive lots. But based on what most people drive (20-30 minute sessions with 20-30 minute breaks in between), it's all very similar.
Another good day is with Pfaff. While 2 of the 3 run groups are in the classroom and skid pad- the advanced group have lots of open lapping in the morning, easily almost 3/4's of the time available.
I've done several sixth gear days. Basically they open the track at 9, shut down at lunch, start up again at 1 and close the track at 5.
The passing zones are the same as PCA green/yellow group (front stretch, btwn. corners 3-4, and the back stretch).
You can drive as much as you or your car can take. I lasted 70 minutes a couple of times.
They don't book to many cars so the track is never crowded. It thins out in the afternoon and if it rains you will have the track to yourself.
They provide food refreshments, and beer when the track closes.
It's worth the price.
Geez, maybe sharing too many details... Won't be any room left this year.
Also like the mix of cars. Exotics, retired and current race cars.
70 minutes is super human. Usually I'm good for 40 to 50 then too tired to continue.
Wow, that kind of time for one session is insane. With my car, with no power steering, power brakes or a/c, the best I can do is 30-35 minutes, and that's only 15 or 20 laps. After that I'm drenched with sweat and completely exhausted.

I was at the Pfaff Tuning track day last spring and it was a lot of fun (Apex ran the event). Not a lot of drivers there. At one point in the afternoon, I was the only car on the track, which was great since it was my first DE event and I didn't want to kill anyone!
That's one of the nice things about 6th gear days - the traffic is often light enough that you won't see another car for several laps. It feels like you have the track to yourself!
