Hi everyone,

New to the forum and looking to buy a modified car for track use (mainly) but still driveable in the road. I am seen a few good option in the US but has anyone experience importing a car from the US to Canada with a few mods (roll bars, suspensions, exhaust)?

Thanks!

Nic

Depending on age, you may not be able to license in Canada depending on the mods done. May not pass emissions, safety etc.
Best get a detailed list of what was done.

If the vehicle is more than 15 years old, you should be OK as it doesn't have to go through the RIV and thus satisfy the mandatory compliance checklist, although it will still need to meet provincial safety and emission standards before you can plate it here. For a newer vehicle (< 15 years old) I'd look within Canada.

Thanks for the replies, this makes sense. I think I found a local vehicle locally so it will be much easier
