the sai does nothing anyway and you would only rebuild if the light bugged you . it is only used during warm up to dilute the exhaust gasses with air in the exhaust manifold before it hits the cat. After the first 2 minutes or so the pump turns off anyway .. for smog check a 96 stilluses a sniffer after fully warmed up so i think SAI is overblown anyway ..

Well thankfully it wasn't the SAI so don't have to worry about it for the moment

good for you ,, i would love a 993 someday .. if i do il just get a 95 , ill live without the extra HP just to avoid that PITA issue..

Yes its a great car but any CEL puts the fear of god in to you!! The 95 allows some people to sleep better

Probably putting the 993 away soon and putting the snows on the C4S this weekend. Tires are a weee bit hard in the mornings

Every time I had a CEL showed up, it was like Really? It's going to cost me $150 to tell me nothings wrong or that it's minor.
After 4 times, I bit the bullet and bought a Durametric.
Now I check & reset on my own before heading off to the dealer to fix real failures.
Best money I've spent on service yet.
