Default Winter tire Sizes

Looking to put a set of winter tires on 8"x18 and 11x18" turbo twists.

I want to go with the following:
225/40/18, OD 25.087
275/35/18, OD 25.579
.492 difference

Is this too much of a difference in diameters for the AWD system? From what I have read I should be good, just looking for confirmation.

I believe this is recommended winter size with 11" rear wheel:
235/40/18, OD 25.402
295/35/18, OD 26.130
.728 difference

Stock:
225/40/18, OD 25.087
295/30/18, OD 24.969
.118 difference

This would probably be the best
235/40/18
275/35/18

Why go with a wider front tire if the difference between front to rear is still less than the recommended Porsche winter tire sizes? Just saying.

Also, 235/40 were not in stock.

the 235/40 is taller than the 225/40, and is a much closer match in height to the 275/35...better to have a taller front tire than rear tire, a 235/40 front matched with a 265/35 rear is best...Dunlop carries that size combo-SP Winter Sport 3D, might be other brands too
Cheers,

Cheers,
I believe 265/35 is too small for a 11" wide wheel....assume it could be stretched.

I can't get LM-60 in 235/40. Since it is discontinued product the pricing is great, just not the selection.

I think I am going to go with the 225/40 & 275/35 since the difference in OD's is still less than the difference in OD's of the Porsche recommended sizes and 275/35 should fit well on 11" wheel.

Thanks.

I have a set of Dunlop winter 3d 235/40 and 285/35. Fit perfectly on the 11 inch rear. 1000km, and 1 season last year. Practically brand new. Pm me for details if you wish.
