I'm in Ottawa visiting family this week... downside is their condo parking has no "visitor" parking and I've already spent $50 since getting here Saturday night!
Any Rennlisters in Ottawa (westboro area?) have a spare parking spot on their driveway I could rent for the week for my 911?
Park it on any side street in Westboro, just don't park it on the main strip as you have to pay during the day. Walk a block, and leave it in a nice neighbourhood.
Quite the opposite, I'd move back here in a heartbeat! The girls are cuter (and less pretentious), good skiing is close by at Tremblant, the gatineau's offer amazing mountain biking and hiking, Ottawa river has some of the best white water rafting... oh, and we have 2 incredible tracks close by with Calabogie and Tremblant! Traffic is better than in Toronto, the city is a lot prettier (clean), and our hockey team isn't the leafs .
Toronto has a great super car culture though, I'll give it that!
Topaz: good idea, I'll do that, and then just pay overnight at the condo.
33 years in Ottawa and I did not realize that this was a no fun town. I'll have to check out the metropolis of Barrie and Pickering. I'm sure that should be a blast.

Pickering is boring as all hell. Nothing to do here.
That's exactly why I live here. It's quiet.
If I want to do something, it forces me into the car for an extended drive which is always a good thing.
There is a method to my madness.
Ottawa? Been to winterlude a number of times but frankly, the closeness to politics...you can keep it.
Oh and the Senators suck but the hockey team is okay.

Go for it! After 33 years its certainly time for a change.
Forgive me, I'm a curmudgeon that's lived in more than a few cities. Cities no longer hold any appeal. I'm small town now (near Barrie, not in it).
Way more fun.
Sorry you take umbrage. I shouldn't poke fun at anyone's choice of residence, that's personal. I apologize for the slight.
