Default How is the new Mosport?

Since I'm living in Beijing now, I can only live out track days vicariously through you. Has anyone tried out Mosport, post-renovations? How is it? Lap times dropping?

Was there last week, not much change in the line, imo. I never time myself, but i would imagine one can shed a second maybe due to some tarmac improvements. The new building looks good. New washrooms too, but farther away from pit lane than before.
Arent there any tracks around there?

It's faster overall. It also had a second repave a few weeks ago to resolve a couple of bump (and, presumably, durability?) issues with the new patches, and they put sealer on over the new asphalt which has reduced the grip in turns 3, 8 and 9 a little.

Others will know better than I the reasoning for the second repave, but turns 5 and 10 are better than they have ever been right now, at least in my car.

Its faster to get back on track after going off in 2 and 5 with the new paving, no more "agricultural" excursions

my new line through T5 involves all the extra pavement on the other side of the turtles!

Two words: NASCAR Canada...

They are trying to keep the track together to see it through the season until the repave in the off season. We *think* when the equipment rolls in after Labour Day (to tear down the oval to make a new DDT track) that it would make perfect sense that the paving equipment then move over to the GP track after that. In the meantime Myles will keep patching stuff up after the major weekends (ALMS is next and Craftsmen Trucks on Labour Day). At my count the entrance into 10 over the tunnel is on it's 3rd re-work since the fall of 2012 to try and fix that bump - not too mention sealing work here and there.

it helps getting around the 944's

Seriously though, the new patches helps with grip in certain sections, and so just like anything else, you just learn as you go.

Hurry up and get back here Farz!

Are there no tracks in Made in China?
