I bet CarFax records only go back to 2001 ( similar to: http://geniusv.in/index.php#full-history ). Viewable only on apple devices.

I am guessing the car was not a total but come sale time you will contend with this. Also back in '99 10k was a big repair so I would still get inspected.

If car at dealer, I would get them to try and fix the car proof if they feel it is wrong.

something sounds very fishy. I suggest you be very careful. There have been reports of Quebec registrations being played with. Be careful. Unless they are offering complete full disclosure (which obviously they aren't which is why you are asking here) I would run. These cars lose big value after being involved in minor fender benders, let alone a right off, or salvage title.

+1. Unless all documentation - invoices, pictures, etc. - regarding the accident is provided and any questions are addressed, it isn't worth the risk. Might make a nice track ***** though if you can get it real cheap.....

what would be real cheap? 91 000km, 5th owner. PPI to be done. Track *****/dd is an option to be considered!

thanks

Hmmm. Turbodan would be a better person to ask since he is an appraiser but I'd say $53K if it's been in a bad accident but fixed properly (75% of the $70K it would otherwise go for unmolested), more if it's only been in a minor incident.

interesting rule... how does it apply? What the 75% stands for?
