Default Appraisers in London Area

Hi All, looking for a good appraiser in the London area for my 964.
Got an amazing rate for classic auto insurance, I'm surprised I even qualify (25y/o). They just require an appraisal and I'm all set.
This is my first time going through this, what does this process usually entail? Anything I should know before hand? What should I be looking to pay?

not sure about London area, maybe Porsche of London might be able/leads???? if not there maybe worth
the drive to Hamilton-GTA area...
BTW wouldn't bother with Silver Wheels /etc classic insurance for your 964 if you plan to use it at all...my dads 930 costs ~$1 a day to insure full under classic car insurance, many limitations, but fits the car's use...my 951 costs about ~$100 a month with a daily 'beater', next GT2 will be around $300/month full coverage, daily use...

I believe the car cannot be driven more that 5000 km in a year. Unless it's a garage queen it may not be worth the savings.

It's not silver wheels, and going over the policy, the only limitation is it cannot be my daily commuter (driven to work, the grocery store etc.)
Which works out well for me because I have a second car. And the insurance savings alone make it worth it. The classis car is exactly 1/12 the cost of regular insurance, for someone with not a lot of disposable income this is a big bonus.

for appraiser have a look on the trustpave.com website
don't be scared by the limitations, policies are written by insurance act and no limitations in the actual policy. Good move, you also will get 19a...very important for our cars, insurance cos can be skimpy at times.

Thanks Danny, are you saying that there is legally no "extra" limitations in the policy for vintage auto?

+1 Turbodan, i just switched to Silver Wheels and the only thing they wanted proof of was that it would not be a daily driver. My wife's daily and my company car solved that issue. Bingo $550 saved annually and no need to bother with the annual on/off spring - winter phone calls. Agreed its not the solution for everyone but it was a great option for me!

Hard to argue with $160/year for me.

glad to hear it worked out for you...just be sure to have an appraisal done otherwise questions may arise down the road.
this is the way to go if you have a good record and another car.
spring should be here any day now

If you are not using the car to commute and only occassionaly for car events etc, try Hagerty , Good price , nice to deal with , understand Classic cars, and No appraisal Req. Specified value ( within reason) . I have been with them for over 3 years couldn't be happier and NO HASSLE I was so Fed up with other companies I had dealt with for over 40 years.

Update, the trustpave appraiser in London was away until mid march, so I went with Paul Prince of www.prince-cva.ca ; he was thorough, had a good rate, and really good turn around time, looked over the car in the morning, got the appraisal in the afternoon. Nice guy too.
