A co-worker asked me if I knew any good indipendent Audi mechanics in Peel Region or in the GTA? I do all my own work so I have no idea who to suggest but perhaps some of you know someone. I don't work on other people's cars.

The problem is with drippimg gas near the gas tank when the engine is running and no heat at idle. The car I think is an '04 A4.

But he only works on his own cars too. Mind you, he is in Guelph.

The gas thing may be the filter. The idle/heat issue will be either thermostat or more likely water pump. There have been cases of impeller coming off the shaft on them.

and i know another guy who works on Audis but he too only works on his own cars ... some of those cars had an issue with the tank fracturing at the top and can only be repaired by removing the back seat and going through the access port... if he smells gas inside the car i would say thats what it is .. I think there may have even been a recall ..

the no heat at idle is not an uncommon problem with the fixes varying.

partially clogged heater core, water pump or even thermostat can be an issue, usually bleeding is the cause and there is a bubble trapped .. they are a bitch to bleed out. . i never did fix that on my audi after playing with it.

uli works on Audis n Kitchener , not sure about GTA.

These guys worked on my A8 and other cars and IMHO did great work at reasonable rates.
