Learning to drtive stick shift will take a bit of time to master but you'll get er done, surely. Smoothness is whats required, more feel will be required when to change gear and when to down shift. For me I've driven stick for 40 yrs.

More awareness will be needed driving in Urban locations, judging lights etc.
Remember nice and smooth....

If after while your still not getting it, I'll show ya if you want to come to London, good luck !

You should find some empty country roads to drive on and do everything slowly and meticulously for now. Or you could buy a Honda .

I don't know Danny. You may loose your car on the track but not likely your life. Poor roadways, 2 way traffic, cell phones, idiots, lots of stuff to hit if you go off.......I think those PCA rally's are the most dangerous thing I've done outside skiing! Autocross is the safest way to learn because you can drive your car over the limit as much as you want with no risk.

I think Ronnie is right .. Autocross would be the way to go .. all 1st and second gear stuff and you can really learn a good technique or just watch other drivers.

Tried it and technology is awsome but there's something about the real thing, you know, sex vs. the "youth alternative".

You've only had the car a week. Take it slow. Just get to know the car. Drive it and enjoy it. Learn to shift nice and smooth, no need to slam each gear.Once you feel more comfortable shifting up and down you can try heel and toeing (just make sure the roads are dry). Later this summer if you do track events with PCA, Apex etc. there is always instructors that can help you out.

I've been driving stick shift since I was a boy (grew-up on a farm with tractors and trucks) and my last car was also stick shift. I just feel I can be an all around better driver.
Thanks
