I understand. As a 7-year Rennlister, I'm familiar with his contributions.

I just have a low tolerance for bomb-throwers. Especially on a great site like Rennlist which, IMHO, is the most helpful of the dozen+ car forums I frequent. Combine that with my equally low tolerance for people who frequent these forums yet are too cheap to pay for the privelege, and I'd just as soon not waste my time with his misguided posts. But no hard feelings (seriously).

Pretty 951. I'm dying to get behind the wheel of mine.

OK everyone, I've found someone to help me out. murrayg has graciously offered to go see the car for me.

Let me take this opportunity to thank everyone who responded both here and via PM. I ended up getting multiple offers to look at ther car but murrayg is familiar with them and that's a huge help.

Rennlist is such a great place. Hope I can repay the favor someday.

Default I saw the car in Dec.

I was in Hfx and took a quick look at the car. It is just Good IMHO. A nice driver but will require TLC to bring it to perfect.

Agreed. Still nice though! I sent John a detailed email, many photos and posted a video on Utube of the car. Never heard a thing back.

Cheers,
Gord.

Yep, and sent him an email with 35 photos of the car and a 1 page written "opinion" report. He must be busy, not the end of the world.

Gord.

That was very nice of you to do this. I'm never 'that' busy where I can't send a two word (ie: thank you!) email...... unless there is an emergency to deal with of course.

Anyone heard from John since this started. He kinda dropped off the radar since I looked at this car... I'm thinking something has happened to him. Anyone know him??

My apologies, guys. Yes, "dropped off the radar" is exactly what I did. Had a sudden and rather serious health issue arise with someone very close to me and have been helping her thru that and the resulting surgery. Not a fun month.

The good news is that the prognosis is very good and we got very lucky.

I'm way behind on my PM's and emails. My apologies. Just a temporary shift in my priorities.

Very sorry to hear that, but I'm glad to hear of a good prognosis.

Next time I'm in Austin and everything has settled down, I would love to see your shop and 951 project.

Glad to hear that prognosis is good. Positive health news is always a great relief. I'm going to be in Austin this weekend for th Grand-Am race. Maybe will bump into you someplace. Seems like a great city. Best wishes on the health issue.
