Turbo S Value!
Hey Guys,
My brother is possibly buying a 2005 Turbo S Cab. Its a canadian car with around 15,000 km's on it. Apparently the original invoice was around $215K cdn so I'm guessing its highly optioned.
I kind of have an idea of 996 turbo coupe values however have no idea what a decent price would be on this above mentioned car.
Any thoughts??
Thanks in advance!
Derek

I'd say 60k. Though I'd not pay more then 50k for a x50 996 TT. The S has ceramic brakes and those alone to replace rotors is 20k. Last year model and a cab. I sure it is way over priced.

Ceramic brakes.... Stay away. $10,000 upgrades into a regular 996TT cab makes it a way better car. I don't see a 996TTs as a collectible.
That being said... $60,000 is the right money depending on colour.

6 speed or tip.
sell the ceramic and switch to steel.
50 k if good options.
be sure to run the computer to see overrrevs and will need to replace coolant pipes.

$215k (we'll assume that includes taxes) to $55k = $10.67 per km in depreciation. If it didn't, add another $2 per km for tax. Hope the original buyer enjoyed those precious few drives!

To the right buyer the car is worth mid sixties if not more. I do agree that the brakes are not a bonus. Dealers want anywhere from low to high sixties for low mileage 02 -03 turbos. If you pay 60k you are doing fine, assuming it has a good ppi etc.

My '04 996 TT Cab (not X50) had a list price in '04 of $200,500 plus taxes and delivery etc. The $215k for the car mentioned is probably before taxes (a friend of mine got an '04 X50 Cab and it came to around $250k with taxes in BC). There weren't many options in Canada as many items that were options in the US were standard in Canada.
