10-4, That's exactly my path forward.
I may try Joe Gibbs DT40 (Flat 6 Innovation) as well, but currently I lean towards 300V 10W-40 in spite of price difference.
If I were to do it again, I would NOT wait until my warranty expires.

Amsoil 5W-40. Ships quick from warehouse in Mississauga and they always have stock.

 

Anyone else running Kendall GT-1 Full Synth Euro blend 10W-40? This is what Furtmair was putting in my 951 and I have stuck with it so far. I found it at WH Lubricants in Waterloo.

 

Castrol Syntec 5W 40 as recommended by my engine rebuilder. PO had added 4 extra liters and guess what happened ....

I get it on sale at CT before but now I get my friends shop to buy it for me at "trade" prices ...

101 Projects for your Boxster by Wayne Dempsey recommends 15W 50 or 20W 50 for per 2006 engines NOT equipt with Variocam Plus. "It provides a much higher film streangth, which will improve bearing life considerably." He owns Pelican Parts.

 

I run that (but mine is labelled Brad Penn) too - 10W40 in my 944 and 20W50 in the 993.
