New special exhibition with anniversary model 911 Club Coupe
Starting today, the Porsche Museum is presenting “60 years of Porsche Clubs”
STUTTGART – May 28, 2012 The Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, museum is
presenting a new anniversary exhibition: In 1952, 13 Porsche drivers founded the world’s
first Porsche Clubs in Germany. The Porsche Club scene now numbers more than 181,000
members worldwide. To mark this 60th club anniversary, the Porsche Museum is putting on
a special exhibition until August 26, 2012 featuring, in addition to 12 vehicle exhibits, rare
photographs, personal documents and small exhibits from club members.
Porsche is using the anniversary as an opportunity to thank club members for their loyalty
over the decades with a special model. Limited to just 13 units worldwide, the 911 Club
Coupe is available exclusively to Porsche Club members and will make its debut in the
Porsche Museum. With a newly developed Powerkit upgrade to 430 hp, a SportDesign
exterior package and a refined interior, Porsche Excusive has created an extensively
individualized car. The 911 Club Coupe is painted “Brewster Green,” as are the 20-inch
SportTechno wheels, while its exclusivity is underlined by trim bearing the customer's name
and illuminated door entry guards bearing the model designation and anniversary logo.
One vehicle will remain with Porsche in honour of the Porsche Club universe. Porsche Club
members have until July 16, 2012 to register their right to purchase one of the 12 remaining
unique vehicles at www.porsche.com/911-club-coupe. The 12 winners will then be
determined by a legally certified draw. The 911 Club Coupe will be offered in all markets
worldwide with the exception of China and India. In Canada, the vehicle’s MSRP is $200,400.

Interesting for a collector, I guess.
I am sure will be seeing a 50th anniversary model out as well in the future. If it similar to the 40th. It will be done in greater quantity and be a better deal.

Build the engine cable of producing 500+ hp. Then restrict it with a ton of software with each engine having it's own unique engine id that can never be over written. Then update the ECU's with a software change every now and then to let newer engine id's have more hp. They don't have to do any costly engine design changes to make more hp. They just modify variables in the software and voila. The next model/update has more hp with very little cost.

Honestly with these new engines, technology and engineering, I suspect it all ready has been done for year to come.
